South Meets North

Some years ago I met a woman in New York who was clearly lost. Her language was indigenous so speaking Spanish was an effort for her. I couldn't help wonder what roads she had taken to get here and what tales she had but I can only imagine. Cecily

Lovely painted image Cecily. I am left wondering about that lost lady though, and I hope she reached her intended destination!

seems that blue is your favorite color...mine too! i think that blue expresses intensity of feeling.
certainly a work of talent!
but, could you please explain the significance of the flowers and the butterflies (as I don't have much knowledge about art)? is it coz she finds herself isolated among the city of several buildings and beauties?

Thank You, Malavika. Yes, blue can have great emotional content. I like your take on the flowers and butterflies. I'd meant it to show that she'd taken her old surroundings with her, and that they were very much a part of her. I hope she didn't feel isolated, that she had friends/ family, but her new surroundings must have been very strange to her.
