Theme #1 ~ Studio Companions: Trouser

We lost our dog Trouser unexpectedly earlier this year. He was half black lab and half German shepherd. We named him Trouser because he pants. Here's a painting I did of him a year or so before he died. Whenever I was working and needed a break, he'd be there waiting for me to sit down next to him scratch behind his ears. The best dog I've ever had.

Aww Bryan...you really captured his spirit in your painting. Dogs really do touch our hearts. I miss my dogs terribly!

Yeah, I miss Trouser every day. He was such a great doggie.

Yes, the nose! That nose would somehow find it's way underneath my wrist and would always end up flipping my hand up off the mouse when I was working. Whenever a certain dog wanted attention that is.

What a great painting, Bryan! You captured that familiar imploring expression that we dog lovers know so well. At the same time you show his nobility! Wonderful! A great tribute to your dear friend.

oh, lovin the trouser picture! And though I saw the memorial page you made for him, I didn't realize that is why he got his name! That's great!

Yep, if Trouser had golden fur, this would be the spittin image of my Brandy. Head sitting on my leg looking up with those adoring eyes. I LOVE the painting. Love the texture and colors! I'm sure you miss your pal...I dread that day.
